Farewell

Farewell.
Tanka. Haiku.
By AJ O’Brien.

Soft raindrops gather
creating sad reflections
upon her small face.
Lost, empty eyes reaching out
needing someone to embrace.

They held hands and wept,
while upon a distant hill
played the lone piper.
